Sunday 22nd February
After a bumpy overnight journey the buses parked up at the Mandeville Auditorium, UC San Diego – a University campus. A beautiful place with parkland and eucalyptus trees and birds flitting around. Our first really warm day too, California sunshine. A full-on day with two sold-out shows at 1.00 and 4.00. Sound check at 10.30, lunch at 11.00! The second show was a sensory accessible performance so quite noisy, but both shows were great with good audience participation (singing, actions etc.)

Sadly no time to visit San Diego (we were in an affluent suburb) which is a shame, so we had a quiet evening in on the bus.
Depart at midnight as usual and we have a 407 mile trip overnight to Mesquite, Nevada, which is beyond Las Vegas where we have just come from! Unfortunate scheduling! We have two days off there before moving to our next venue, Ogden, Utah.
