Amanda and Graham's Great Pig Adventure

Monday 2nd February

Actually, not really Trinidad at all, but a Holiday Inn by the Freeway in the middle of nowhere! There is a large Walmart the other side of the highway but no way of getting to it easily as a pedestrian, so one of the drivers volunteered to take the huge bus and trailer across so we could all do a shop. Great excitement all round! We are so sad, but we love exploring these huge supermarkets. We shopped for bus essentials and a few things for ourselves and I bought some shorts as we are in warmer weather now for a while.

Then just pottered about at the hotel we have for the day. We checked in from 8am and had breakfast, but we leave at midnight. (They are obliged to provide day hotels if we don’t have an overnight as we don’t have showers on the buses). Nice to have a quiet day sometimes! Nice view (apart from the road) of mountains in the background. We are still at 5,000ft!
