Tuesday 10th March – The Lied Center, University of Kansas
The show is not until 6pm, soundcheck at 3.30, so free time until then. Chance to do laundry! We walked around the University campus, but it is quite utilitarian compared to some of the others. There are some small lakes but quite sterile and not many birds about at all. It was 28 degrees today and full sunshine all day so we didn’t go far, but did enjoy our last day of hot sunny weather for a while.
It was another large stage and wide auditorium and we had a good audience, both in size and response. A really enjoyable show today!

Our view from the wings of the start of the show!
In the evening we had a sociable time on the bus. There was a lightning storm and we all went into the car park to watch until it started to rain! Fabulous sheet lightning and forked lightning and the occasional huge peal of thunder. Storms here are so much more dramatic, because of the large land mass.
