Thursday 19th March – Great Lakes Center for the Arts
More snow! We are on the shore of Lake Michigan, right near the top where three of the Great Lakes almost join together – Lake Michigan, Lake Superior and Lake Huron. From the theatre we can walk one way to the Marina and the other way to the lake shore.

Even this huge lake is completely frozen over and covered in snow as far as the eye can see. There are wave formations frozen at the edge of the lake too. Bay Harbor is a summer resort so is almost completely deserted. The houses are stunning – huge, and many with exclusive lakeside access. They must be worth a fortune! And if these are their summer houses, what are their main residences like???!

The show is even later today at 6.30 – very late for our young audience. Free until 4.00 soundcheck so plenty of time to explore, although it proved too difficult to get into the nearby town of Petoskey as there were no Ubers available! I hope we are going to get an audience, there’s nobody here!
The theatre has the same wide auditorium we are getting used to now. We had a look in the entrance foyer and there was a wall of Peppa Pig colouring in pictures! Very sweet!

Post show, we all went to a bar on the Marina for cocktails and played Jenga! A nice end to the day.
