Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Sunday 22nd March

An early show today with a 10.30 soundcheck. This is a lovely concert hall, rather than a theatre, home of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Great sound, as you would expect. We had another big audience which was gratifying as we had thought it may have been a bit of an anticlimax after yesterday!

I was on audience duty today (we have a rota of musicians who play in the auditorium as the audience is coming in, to show the instruments to the children) and Jackson, our tour manager, took this photo of me just before we went out.

Afterwards we walked to the National Aviary with Rob. We crossed one of the many bridges, all painted yellow to match the city colours and sports teams, on the way and passed the baseball stadium.

The Aviary was really good and we took far too many photos.

It was hot today, 27 degrees, but the weather broke as we were walking back and it started to rain and thunder. We got an Uber, and just got back to the bus before it started to pour down. We holed up for the rest of the day and carried on with our TV series with friends! We are hooked now!

Another nice city!
