Tuesday 7th April
Free until 3.30 again and it was a lovely sunny day so we pottered out in to the small town Main Street – the theatre is central today. We bumped into lots of the others in a lovely coffee place and we all walked together to the Japanese Garden, which was small but perfectly formed! A lovely little oasis of calm. It was a hot sunny day too and there were lots of birds about.

Next we looked in the shops along the Main Street – nice independent shops and a few antiques places again, which seem very popular over here in the smaller towns. I bought some dungarees!!

It was a small theatre today so it had a lovely intimate feel. The children were really quiet in the dialogue but all joined in with everything and cheered and clapped – a perfectly behaved audience!

It was still sunny afterwards and I watched the load out! They’ve got it down to a fine art now and pack the trailers so efficiently, it’s fun to watch!

We adjourned to a bar where Graham bought fizz for everyone, to celebrate the arrival of granddaughter, Emilia! We also had a “round table” session of Traitor’s – at an actual round table!
