Monday 2nd February – Day off
Actually, not really Trinidad at all, but a Holiday Inn by the Freeway in the middle of nowhere! There is a large Walmart the other side of the highway but no way of getting to it easily as a pedestrian, so one of the drivers volunteered to take the huge bus and trailer across so we could all do a shop. Great excitement all round! We are so sad, but we love exploring these huge supermarkets. We shopped for bus essentials and a few things for ourselves and I bought some shorts as we are in warmer weather now for a while.
Then just pottered about at the hotel we have for the day. We checked in from 8am and had breakfast, but we leave at midnight. Nice to have a quiet day sometimes! Nice view (apart from the road) of mountains in the background. We are still at 5,000ft!
