Orlando, Florida

Friday 17th April

A surprisingly lovely city! Clean and shiny and our venue is stunning! A new entertainment complex with four halls. We were free until 3.30 so had plenty of time to wander around. We popped into the information centre (along with everyone looking for stickers!) and found a trail of the historical buildings which we followed.

After a coffee, we continued to Lake Eola which several of us visited. It has a wide variety of birds, an open air theatre and a large fountain. We bumped into Steve and Lisa and hired a pedalo together which was fun, but hard work (I gather!).

After a well-deserved beer, we walked round the lake and enjoyed all the Florida birds.

Back for soundcheck and the show, with a big audience, but in a huge hall it was quite scattered. It must be to do with pricing, but it frustrates us that they release tickets in all the high balconies rather than filling the stalls, which would give a better experience for the audience and for us!

Good show though! Not many left now so we are making the most of each one.
