Oxford, Alabama

Tuesday 21st April

The buses brought us to the venue at 8.00 and we had free time until 3.30 as usual. A lovely hot sunny day again – we are getting used to this now! We looked at the Historic Main Street, which looks like something out of a Wild West movie. We have seen a few high streets like this now – a short row of single or two storey buildings with flat roofs. Lovely that they are still preserved. We saw some old photos and paintings of them too, in a coffee shop.

We walked to a shopping centre and saw the most beautiful house on the way, complete with porch and veranda!

Then a walk along a leafy lane with the binoculars – more nice houses. It looks an idyllic place to live!

We all got tour t-shirts yesterday which are brilliant. A great souvenir of the trip!

The show was at 6.00 and it was a fairly full theatre with boisterous responses!

We had drinks in the Green Room afterwards for Morgan’s (lighting!) birthday and played pool and then had a limbo contest! Hilarious!

Then an earlier departure than usual at 10pm as it is a long drive to Valdosta, our next stop.
