Saturday 25th April
Our final show day and we have two performances at 2.00 and 5.00. The venue is right next to a river and it is another hot day. There is a Mall across the road for last-minute shopping too! Most of our free time was spent packing up our things on the buses as once the drivers drop us at our hotel they leave us today. We have accumulated quite a lot of kitchen things including a kettle which will be left behind and we have things scattered in different places – we each have a drawer for storage and cupboard space the kitchen area as well as our bunks and wardrobe space in the back. We also have to remember to bring our concert wear after the shows as it usually goes in the trucks with the costumes and set. We managed to get the binoculars up as well though! Lots of iguanas and American ibis.

Unfortunately, the audiences were poor – they would have been better combining them into one show. They were very quiet too which makes it hard work for Evie our presenter. We all made the most of it for our final performances though and had fun on stage!

Then it was off to the hotel straight after the second show. The get-out was a bit different as the set was packed up to go back to the UK, hired instruments to be returned wherever so it was all a bit hectic. We said farewell to our lovely drivers, Dustin (our bus) and his dad Kevin after emptying the bus at the hotel. They have been part of the family!

As we have all day tomorrow to sort out packing, we had a last hurrah with a mass outing to Miami South Beach in the evening which was brilliant!
